Two ways to teach with LensaSim, on one simulator your students already use in the browser. Classes are for practice: assignments marked as students work, and a gradebook. Tests & exams are for assessment: a version of the plant for each student, marked on our servers and by you, and results released when you choose.

Pro or campus licence

Create a class and share its 6-character join code. Students join and submit free.
Set assignments from a template, by hand, or generated with AI from a one-line brief — starter flowsheet, weighted checks and a concept quiz, with the answer key verified before you publish.
Every submission is graded by re-solving the real flowsheet, and lands in the gradebook with attempts, late flags and your feedback.

Put a whole class on a test. Each student gets a different version of the plant, so answers can't be passed along.
Designs are re-solved and checked on our servers; written answers are marked against a rubric, with second markers through their own link.
Timed or live sittings, extra time and personal deadlines for students who need them.
Grades on your department's scale, written feedback, results released when you choose — and sent back to your LMS.

Connect your LMS

With Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard or Brightspace, students open assignments and tests from inside your course and their grades go straight to your LMS gradebook. Your LMS administrator registers LensaSim once, as an LTI 1.3 tool, with these addresses:

Then each link in your course names what it opens: an assignment, or a test by the link code in the test's Settings — which ties the test to your institution's LMS.

Whole department or university?

A campus licence covers every student and teacher, admitted by your university's email domain, and can include tests & exams for all its lecturers. Some universities have the simulator sponsored.
